Hi. I use a mulching mower when cutting the grass. It has really helped the lawn with very little care or money. But after many years I notice that my yard is about 6 inches higher than the neighbors and my hardscapes are being buried by turf. I recently had a new concrete path put in to replace the old and the contractor raised it to compensate. Do I redo my patio blocks and mow strip around my gardens every few years to raise them? Thank you.

A mulching mower is not making your lawn get higher. I suspect you have some thatch buildup. Perhaps you should consider doing some thatch control this fall (the best time to do it). Read here:
