Viburnum beetle control

Asked May 29, 2018, 1:26 PM EDT

I saw signs of leaf destruction about a week ago and sprayed with Safer brand with pyrethrums and potassium salts of fatty acids. Today (May 29) one bush is completely decimated, one looks fine and the other two are damaged but not destroyed. Should I continue to spray the good one and the other two marginal ones? If so, how much, how often? Thank you!

Hi. Are you able to send me a photo of your bushes? And did the label of the product you used list viburnum beetles as an insect the product controlled? Thank you.

Hi. A follow up to your question. Cornell University has a comprehensive article about viburnum beetles published online. If you google Cornell and viburnum leaf beetle it should appear for you. Hope it helps.
