Fish emulsion leaf burn

Asked May 29, 2018, 12:59 PM EDT

We applied fish emulsion yesterday and now see brown spots and an oily coating on the leaves. We diluted as normal ( 8:1) but opened a new drum of emulison that might have had different chemical characteristics than all previous applications this season. Plants affected are tomatoes, kale, scallions, flowers, and okra. All are large plants ready for trnasplanting. What can we do to mitigate burn effects or wash off the oil coating?

I have looked and looked and found no method other than waiting to see if your plants recover - once the chemical burn is accomplished there does not appear to be a remedy.
