Pink flowering bushes for shade.

Asked May 25, 2018, 11:40 AM EDT

I have an area facing North along a brick wall where I would like to put 6 pink flowering bushes that don't get more than 3' to 4' high. The area is shaded and only gets sun for maybe 3 hours. What would you suggest.

Hello. The only plant I would recommend would be pieris japonica. And I offer that with great hesitation. Any flowering plant needs more than 3 hours of sunshine. There are varieties of this plant so I suggest you go to a nursery and look to see if any of them are attractive to you. You could also consider using coleus that is pink. It is an annual and needs to be replanted every year but it would give you all summer pink color.
