What kind of flower is this? They were on the ground at the side of a trail in Montgomery county. The seemed to have fallen from a tree but unclear.

Thanks!

This is a flower from a Paulownia tree, an invasive tree commonly found along roadsides and trails. https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/problems/paulownia-empress-or-princess-tree
