Disease or other issue on kale plants

Asked May 16, 2018, 7:33 PM EDT

My kale plants in raised beds have been thriving, but suddenly I'm seeing several leaves with sections turning tan/white, which I'm thinking is some sort of disease issue -- perhaps due to the recent heavy rains. I am worried that with so much more rain projected, if that is the cause, how can I prevent this. I'm attaching a photo that shows the issue I mention.

This symptom looks like cold injury. Does the new foliage on the plant look healthy? If so, the plant can eventually grow out fine, now that we have warmer weather. It is not a disease.
