What plant is this?

Asked May 16, 2018, 9:10 AM EDT

I received this plant for Mother's Day and unfortunately there was no tag attached. I would like to know: 1. What it is? 2. Perennial or annual? 3. Sun or shade? Thank you!

This is a type of Oxalis that is sold as a goundcover. They tend to be perennial but go dormant in the winter to return in the spring. They can take sun or partial shade.
