I am trying to find a hardy fast growing perennial vine that does not have flowers (my dog is allergic to bees) not poisonous and preferably fruitless with no die back. We have a four foot high chain link fence around the backyard and would prefer it to give us some privacy, while keeping our pets safe. What would you suggest? We cannot figure this out.

Many of the most widely grown nonflowering climbing vines are members of the ivy family, such as Boston ivy. These vines are fast and vigorous climbers, especially Boston ivy, so they need regular pruning to keep them from growing out of control. Another option is Virginia creeper, a vine from the Eastern United States. Other options include fatshedera, greenbriar and climbing fig.
