Was wondering what this is

Found growing in side yard after doing some clearing..

Mackinac County Michigan trees and shrubs plant identification

This looks like it could be either catmint or salvia. It is hard to tell when there are no leaves to help identify the plant. You may want to wait and see what happens when there is new growth.

Thank you for the response. I have not seen a plant that flowers befor the leaves come in. After the leaves show and the plant has more growth should I submit a new question or reply to this one?

Yup thats it.. Looks as if is invasive and poisonous too. Like the color in early spring but guess they should go!

Too bad so many pretty plants are invasive!
