Minimising Deer damage to garden plants

Asked May 3, 2018, 2:25 PM EDT

My area is full of deer and other beautiful critters, we love watching them.
I have had great luck over the years with Malorganite. A dusting in Spring and late Fall discourages all but the most stubborn visitors to my plants. The fertilizer has a strong odor that keeps me away too until it settles in. Any thoughts on using Malorganite for vector control in the garden?

Milorganite is a fertilizer and there is anecdotal evidence that suggests it repels some wildlife when used as a top dressing. However, some animals can be attracted to the odor. What specific types of vectors are you trying to control?
