HELP with our cactus peruvianus

Asked May 2, 2018, 9:43 AM EDT

Hello! Following this email up with my voicemail. We inherited this cactus peruvianus and it kept growing to over 10 feet tall. We knew something wasn’t right by the discoloration and so finally watch some videos online on how to cut. Now that we have the new young cactus we were told to store them in a cool dry place for two weeks. But after a couple of days I am starting to see signs that worried me we are not doing something right. If you could please help would appreciate it. I have attached pictures of the new cactus as well as the mother.

Thank you for contacting AaE for help.

I think you need to plant the cactus tips in potting soil and see what happens. Here are some links that may help you out.
