More than just Winterburn on Boxwood?
My supervisor told me that this was winterburn on a boxwood and just to trim it off, but I suspect something else. The box to the left gets more sun and isn't as crisped as the one to the right. Upon further inspection, the burnt leaves have a blackened core around the midrib. Is this more than just winterburn?

Our plant pathologist looked at this and, yes, this is winter burn. Plants react differently because of different conditions (sun, moisture levels), slight differences in DNA, and states of health we can't see (such as root volume).
