deer damage to apple trees

Asked April 28, 2018, 4:20 PM EDT

Now that it is finally warm enough to be out in the yard, I have noticed substantial damage to my apple trees due to deer munching. Are my trees at risk for disease and if so, what can I do?

Not really. If they have nibbled off the ends of branches you may not have many apples but disease is not really an issue. The ends have sealed up.
