My perrenials are being eaten during the night

Asked April 27, 2018, 1:51 PM EDT

I suspect chafer beetles are eating my flowers at night. We found grubs while doing lawn work and have also found dead adults. My lawn seems healthy but we do seem to have a lot of moles. How do I control the grubs and save my flowers??

If you are talking about last season I would suspect you're are seeing the Asiatic garden beetle (Maladera castanea) These critter can be pretty destructive and come out at night. Their grubs chew on roots (not so much on turf roots) and as adults they will eat flowers and leaves of many plants, typically leaving just the center vein of the leaf. They do there damage at night and are attracted to lights at night. The following links provide more information and ways to control this pest.
