What is this? Recommendations to treat?

Have these growing only on one section of my lawn. I would like to know what it is and how I can get rid of it. Looks like grass with white seeds. Thanks.

That looks like St. Augustine grass (or at least something in the same family). You are correct in your assessment that there are seed. Those are the seed heads of the turfgrass.
Current suggestions for reducing seed heads is to mow often. Also, I am not aware of any sterile/seedless variety of St. Augustine grass in the market.
