Garden Soil

Asked April 25, 2018, 6:56 PM EDT

I want to try a raised garden this year. I've done a lot of reading on it. I have one question... Where can I buy garden soil by the truck load, instead of buying those expensive bags from retail stores? I've read that you can save a lot of money this way. Thank you. Mark

Mark, I do raised bed gardening at the office and really enjoy it. Makes pulling weeds and managing the garden easier. You can call Mike McKinney at Big Sandy Stone on 23 for topsoil. 606-686-3000 And yes buying bagged soil is expensive and it takes a lot to fill up those beds. Hope this helps!
