Is there a good way to release live trapped mice in a house somewhere outside to give them a good chance of survival? I've tried edges of woods and wood lots near streams, but don't know if survival is likely.

Trapped and released wildlife don't tend to do well because they have to suddenly survive in an unknown environment before they get eaten. Best bet is to release your mouse where there is plenty of cover where it can hide.
Thank you, though I'm sorry to hear that my fear is confirmed. Would you happen to know of any studies of trapped mouse release survival, or has it not merited the effort? Thanks again, Joe
We do not know of any studies on this subject.
