Quackgrass is a hardy perennial weed that can be difficult to control. It grows and spreads from rhizomes (flat spreading roots) underground. Once established in a bed it is likely you will not fully eradicate it unless you dig up all plants and hand dig thr grass out. Another method is to spray with a product containing glyphosate. This will kill all it comes in contact with. Because quackgrass grows in phases you will need to do multiple applications over time. You could try handpainting the product directly to the grass, avoiding all other plants.
