Hybrid Tea Rose - Spring timing

Asked April 13, 2018, 5:46 PM EDT

Thank you. I have a raised rose garden with 6 hybrid tea roses. they were buried using the Minnesota tip method. We were hoping to be able to unbury them by April 28th, however it looks like the weather is not being cooperative. We will be out of town from April 28th until May 15th. can we leave our roses buried until that time? Should we remove the leaf matter? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. OurOraised garden consists of 24in of good growing soils over a clay natural base. The Roses were planted in the spring of 2017, after we completed construction of the raised garden.
