Insect infestation returning every year to my home
Every year for the past several years these small flies appear in the window seals, invading our home. We have spent hundreds of dollars and no one can help us or identify them. Based on my own research it appears to be in the phoridae fly family. Can you please confirm or identify and provide resources to eliminate this infestation we face yearly. Each year they arrive earlier, and we have tried everything. Thank you

These may well be cluster flies, which are attracted to windows (the light, actually) and will often recur year after year. Here is our webpage about them: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/cluster-flies
They are a nuisance, not a health hazard. Tighten up whereever you can.

Here are photos since we can't see yours well enough in the photos to make a positive id: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/flies
