Why are my tomato stocks so slim how do I add nitrogen is that what I'm missing. They are 3 ft tall in the house but very skinny.

When transplants get very tall and skinny, they are usually trying to reach for more light. This does not look like a very sunny spot. Try to get them more light, moving to a better location, using grow lights.

Fortunately, when planting these outdoors, you can bury the bottom part of the stem in the soil along with the roots (you can lay it sideways if you need to) so that the sturdiest part of the plant is above ground. The buried stem will put out roots.
