Peace Lilly

Asked April 7, 2018, 1:29 PM EDT

Hi! My wife's Peace Lilly seems to be browning at the tips of its leaves. I generally water this plant about every four days (or when the leaf stems or vines start to double over). Too much water...not enough water? Thank you! Rich

When houseplants get brown tips on their leaves, it's generally an indication of poor watering habits. The best way to water a houseplant is to thoroughly flush it until water runs freely out the drainage holes. Shallow watering can cause brown tips on the leaves.

Watering like you suggested, what is generally the frequency of watering a plant like this? Thanks!

Push your finger into the planting medium, if it is still moist don't water yet.
