Blooming Rhubarb
My rhubarb is blooming. Should I let it bloom, or should I eliminate the flower stalks before they bloom. I am hopeful of harvesting the stalks soon. If I do cut the flower stalks, can I eat them?

It’s wise to remove the bloom stem on rhubarb as soon as it’s seen so that the plant can redirect its energies toward growing sturdy stems. See “Grow Your Own Rhubarb” (https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/sites/catalog/files/project/pdf/ec797_0.pdf)
