Can you identify this? It is growing in our landscape beds and lawn in Western Howard County.

Not easy to tell for sure, but this looks like the remains of the Schleroderma geaster, ghoolishly named Dead Man's Hand. They are not uncommon and are nothing to worry about. They usually appear in the fall, but the tough skins take a long time to decompose.
