Planting Bermuda grass

Asked March 29, 2018, 9:53 AM EDT

I live in Southern MD and want to plant bermuda grass this year since my fescue burns up every summer. I read the best time is when the soil temp is over 65 degrees, but when is that actual time in Southern MD? I hear Sunspot sold at Southern States is good, but any other recommendations for type of bermuda to plant?

We do not have records of soil temperatures. It is generally recommended to plant bermuda grass in June. Here is our publication on Recommended Cultivars and see page 4.
