Pair of geese, different varieties

Asked March 28, 2018, 8:42 PM EDT

For three years I have been watching a pair of geese. The male has flesh colored beak and legs, unlike the female with black legs and beak, like the rest of the geese. They have never produced young. Is it usual to see similar pairs?

It is my understanding that geese mate for life so seeing them in pairs over a period of years is common.

Please re read my question.
