LED grow lights?

Asked March 19, 2018, 11:59 AM EDT

I've been shopping around for LED grow lights (red/blue lights) and are they used for vegetables? or just flowers? I bought some shop lights T-8s. Just wondering if I should use the red/blue lights too. LED lighting can be used for all plants grown indoors. As you've seen they are quite a bit more expensive than T-8 fluorescent lights. Cool white T-8 tubes are high in the blue-light end of the light spectrum but ill do a good job of growing vegetable and flower transplants. Adding a warm red tube may enhance growth. Please see our website information on starting transplants:

The MEILLY product looks interesting. We have no experience with it or research
information to evaluate it. Please let us know how it works out for you if you use it
this year.
