Cake and Frosting from late 60's

Mrs. Lloyd Newton taught me how to knit, and how to bake a cake, and frosting, from scratch. Is there anyway to look into the archives for these recipes? I have asked her children, but no one seems to have her old books. To this day, I haven't found a cake or frosting which tastes as good as I remember here did.
