Aphids on native honeysuckle

Asked February 22, 2018, 2:52 PM EST

Every year, aphids destroy most of the blooms on my honeysuckle. What is the best way to treat this pest?

Usually native predator insects get this aphids under control after an initial attack. Be sure to avoid spraying general pesticides in your landscape that damage your beneficial predators.

You can use horticultural oil on aphids. Read the label carefully for temperature constraints.
