I have a chicken that was injured several weeks ago. We brought her into the house to care for her. I feel she is ready to go back with the flock. With the wildly varying temps in Ohio when and how would be the best time to acclimate her back to the cold?

It depends on what temperature she became use to in the house. However, You’re in luck this next week should be a good time to get her moved back outside. Monday and Tuesday’s temperatures are going to be mild. Keep an eye on her Wednesday and Thursday nights, it’s going to be a little more seasonal those days. The only issue to watch is the incoming rain. Make sure she is in a warm dry area out of the wind. Good luck with your flock
