very acidic soil

what native plants grow in very acidic soil? How long does it take to change ph using lime? I am adding pumice, lime, soil fertilizer and mulch and compost.what is best management practices? Thanks Penney

Rhododendrons, azaleas, gardenias, holly, begonia, trillium, dogwood, beech, ferns and Japanese iris to name a few.
