What to do with un-planted bulbs?

Asked January 27, 2018, 11:23 PM EST

I just found a package of tulip bulbs I bought last fall but forgot to plant. What should I do with them? Can they still be planted or will they keep until next fall? Help. Thanks! Walt Fox

It’s questionable whether the tulip bulbs will bloom well if planted this late.

But the worse news is that they won’t survive until fall. With only one package at hand, little labor would be lost if you plant immediately. You could be pleasantly surprised at the result.
