How much does it cost to have a soil sample done and how big of a sample do I need?

Hello. There is no charge for samples submitted in Spencer County, KY. You will need to bring us about a pint of soil per sample or a sandwich bag full. We recommend that whatever area you are sampling that you go around to 4-5 spots and dig up the soil 4-6 inches deep and mix those 4-5 samples together so that will give us an "average" of what your soil "looks" like. If you bring in more than one sample, make sure to label each sample so you'll know the specific results for that area. Feel free to email or call me if you have any other questions.
