This is going to be pretty simple, but probably somewhat painstaking. Digging them out is probably your most 'surefire' way to go; that being said, all of those little bulblets are going to be a huge challenge. Leaving a few behind will ensure that they WILL come back. Although they can be mowed, this will not be very effective, as seen in this link: http://www.clemson.edu/extension/hgic/pests/weeds/hgic2311.html . There are a number of herbicide applications listed that will probably also give you quicker and longer lasting results.
