Moving blackberry, blueberry and small fig tree

Asked December 23, 2017, 11:00 AM EST

Hello, I would like to move my blackberry canes, blueberry bushes and a small fig tree to a different location. Is there a good time to do this while they are still dormant? In February? Will early March be too late? Could I do it now (late December?). Should I fertilize any of them in the spring?

It is too late to transplant now. Wait until the soil can be worked in the spring - March or April to transplant the small fruits and fig tree.
Here is more information on fertilization.

Figs do not demand a lot of fertilizer. They benefit from the incorporation of compost or well-rotted manure prior to planting. http://extension.umd.edu/hgic/figs
