watering trees now in the winter (?)

Asked December 13, 2017, 5:58 PM EST

I have two mature silver maples, two apple trees, and two mature blue spruce. Should I be watering these trees now since it has been unusually warm this December? Is so, how much?

thanks!

Yes, it's always smart to water your trees and conifers approximately once a month through the winter when we don't have precipitation. We have had a very dry autumn and early winter in Denver so supplemental watering is especially needed this year.
