Haralson Apple

Asked December 11, 2017, 12:34 PM EST

I found a Haralson apple with red flesh (interior of the apple) when I peeled it. What's wrong with it? Can people eat or bake with this type of apple? Thanks! Barb Morin

I doubt there is anything wrong with it. If the flesh is firm, it smells like an apple it is in all probability fine. Differences in coloration are natural variation and the flesh is as edible as whiter apples.
