Bee Bee trees, invasive?

I planted several bee bee trees at the suggestion of a CMBA Master Beekeeper. Now my sister tells me they are invasive. Is this accurate? Should I cut them down? Thank you,

Yes, bee bee trees have been found to be spreading beyond their planted areas and out-compete native flora. It is considered invasive by the Maryland Invasive Species Council.
It is up to you whether to remove or not.
