Tulip and daffodil bulbs

Asked November 14, 2017, 3:51 PM EST

Help!!! Was given a box of bulbs and got maybe half of them planted. Ground is now to muddy and cold. Is there a way to save these bulbs or are they toast? Thought maybe there was something to pack them in and keep them cool.

The ground is not frozen. Get your hands and knees dirty and plant those bulbs now. You will be glad next spring. There is no way to hold them over until next fall. Otherwise you will have to try forcing them. It must be done step-by-step. Here is a link: http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/yard-garden/houseplants/forcing-bulbs-for-indoor-beauty-in-winte...
