can we use rabbit "poop" to make compost in our demo garden?

Asked November 14, 2017, 10:36 AM EST

I am in charge of the compost process at our baltimore county demonstration garden. One of our new interns wants to donate several bags of rabbit poop for our compost. I want to make sure this is allowed because most of our finished compost will be used in the GIEI garden. Thanks

It is okay to add the rabbit poop to the compost bin. Make sure it is well composted before using in the gardens.
