Planting Garlic

Asked November 10, 2017, 8:43 AM EST

Hello!

Is it too late to plant garlic in a raised bed? I'm near Lapeer, MI.

Thank you!

Hello,

If you have the cloves you want to plant in hand, plant ASAP and it should work out. If you don't have the cloves you want to plant yet, I would wait until next October, as it will take awhile for the cloves to arrive from the supplier and the quality will take a hit if you rush to get them now. If you are waiting until next year, place an order in the late spring/early summer, hopefully you will be able to get your hands on the cloves in September.

Thank you, Marissa!
