Is this powdery mildew on my peony plant?

If it is powdery mildew, what can I do to control it? It's on the stems and leaves. The plant will still flower.

Yes, this is powdery mildew. This disease affects susceptible cultivars during seasonal moisture, heat and humidity. It may not even be a problem next year if we have different weather patterns. Your best defense at this time of year is to cut off the infected foliage and add to a compost pile well away from your plants. (Or discard in your waste). This will not affect next years flowering.
