Treating Hibiscus before bringing inside

Asked November 1, 2017, 8:40 PM EDT

Last year my hibiscus plants suffered from white flies when I brought them inside for the winter. I wrote to you folks, and you suggested treating them BEFORE I bring them inside. I don't see any signs of the pests now. Should I just spray with the SAME strength of germicidal soap that I used when I had an infestation? Thanks.

If you do not see an obvious white fly infestation now, do not spray. You should not see them now because it is far too cold already for them. They do not survive the winter outdoors.
