Wintering potted blueberry bush

How do I prepare a potted blueberry bush that has been outside all summer for the upcoming winter season?

If you leave it alone outside, it will die. Plants in pots cannot survive the winter outdoors. Here are some options.

If you have a place in your yard where you can sink the pot into the ground, do that now. The surrounding earth will insulate the pot.

If you have a space (garage?) that doesn't get too cold (say, below 25 degrees), you could move the pot there for the winter.

Or you could rig something around the pot (chicken wire?) and fill the space with something insulating (straw?).

None of these is foolproof, although the first suggestion is the best.
