How to eradicate this weed
I have an aggressive weed in my vegetable garden that I cannot get rid of. I'm very discouraged, thinking of giving up the garden, but thought I'd ask if you know how to get rid of it. Picture attached.

While pictures are sometimes helpful in identifying a plant, they can also be misleading. In the case of your unwelcome guest I would recommend that you bring in a sample to the Douglas County Master Gardeners for a positive identification. They will also want to know if it produces flowers, was difficult to pull, how long you have had it, or other tell tale characteristics not identifiable in the picture. The Master Gardeners can be found in the Oregon State Extension Office 1134 SE Douglas Ave., Roseburg. Winter hours in Nov are 1pm to 4 pm Mondays and Wednesdays.
