I have a hillside of pacasandra that is 18 years old. This spring I noticed it was getting brown leaves. I gave it some Holly Tone. Recently it has gotten really brown and it seem to be dying. It is spreading over the whole hill. Any idea what it can be. I hate to loose the whole hill.

The most common problem in old pachysandra patches is volutella, a fungus that is encouraged by the buildup of fallen leaves and debris in the patch. Here is help, with photos and control measures: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/volutella-dieback-pachysandra-groundcover We had a wet summer which may have contributed to the spread of the volutella.
Pachysandra also get euonymus scale sometimes. Scale looks like tiny white streaks under the leaves. If that is the problem, here is help: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/euonymus-scale-shrubs
