What am I looking at here?

Asked October 3, 2017, 2:24 PM EDT

Ok, so the tiny blacks things appear to be aphids. Is the green caterpillar a cabbage worm? What's in the cocoon? Any connection to the caterpillar? They were all on the eucalyptus leaf found in the garden this afternoon. Thanks in advance,

We think this does look like a cabbage worm (on nasturtium maybe?).
The cocoon is just a sibling who has already entered into metamorphosis, and that one will likely follow, but not necessarily on the plant.
