Over wintering pepper plants

Asked October 3, 2017, 9:19 AM EDT

Good morning! I will soon be moving my Ghost Pepper plants inside for the winter, I want to spray them for bugs before doing so, and will then spray them a few times over the winter. Can you suggest a safe product to use? They are you plants, started them from seed indoors this past Feb.

We do not recommend spraying the plants unless there was a significant insect issue.
Prune back to the main stem and several branches. You do not need foliage. Repot into a sizeable container. Keep the soil barely moist. They will be in a dormant state and not actively growing. You can keep them in an area like a basement. Check on the moisture throughout the winter.
