Bringing in plants for the winter

Asked September 29, 2017, 7:38 AM EDT

I would like to try bringing in my geraniums for the winter. What advice do you have? Also what do I need to do to avoid bringing in bugs with them.

Most people who keep geraniums over winter stick to a method that has worked well for them. However, there are several ways to do it. You may want to try more than one and compare the results. Go here to learn about this:

Inspect plants before taking them indoors. Dispose of any that appear to be significantly affected by disease or insects. If infestations are present, but minor, follow the recommendations found in the following bulletins. When in doubt, keep suspect plants well away from other indoor plants until any issues are resolved.
