red oak trees dying

i had 2 mature red oak trees die 6 months ago.; now 2 more are dead. can you explain ? is there a disease or bug destroying the trees? photo of leaves are possibly from the trees [ not able to reach any to pick off the tree]. [note- there are other logs cut from previous trees laying on the ground in the area. ]
